ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION September 4, 201314 <br /> <br /> <br />City Planner Streff stated the City did not have any standards addressing this specifically, but <br />rather had landscaping coverage and lot coverage requirements. <br /> <br />Commissioner Stodola commented the building at 1221/1233 County Road E was constructed <br />prior to the existing landscaping requirements. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa asked if the easement required for the planned County Road E <br />improvement project would take additional permeable space. He recommended the water runoff <br />on this site be dealt with onsite and not be passed along to an adjacent property. <br /> <br />City Planner Streff indicated the documents for County Road E show a retaining wall that would <br />be located adjacent to the sidewalk. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman questioned if the flagpoles would be relocated. <br /> <br />City Planner Streff recommended this question be directed to the applicant. <br /> <br />impervious surfaces to this site. For this reason, he recommended the City Engineer provide <br />comment on this request and report back to the Commission. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hames supported this suggestion. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman was in favor of tabling this item to a future meeting. <br /> <br />Chair Larson agreed stating there were a number of questions that remained unanswered. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hames suggested this item be noticed for a public hearing for the next Planning <br />Commission meeting to assure adjacent property owners are made aware of the proposed <br />improvements. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa moved and Commissioner Thompson seconded a motion to table <br />action on Planning Case 13-015 for a Variance Request at 1221/1233 County Road E based <br />on the fact the Planning Commission did not have enough information to take action on the <br />request this evening. The motion carried unanimously (6-0). <br /> <br /> <br />COMMENTS AND REPORTS <br /> <br /> <br />A.Report from the City Council <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung updated the Planning Commission on City Council activities including <br />approval of Planning Case 13-003 for a Master Planned Unit Development, Final Planned Unit <br />Development for Phase I, and Preliminary Plat of the Lexington Station Redevelopment Proposal <br />at their July 8, 2013 Meeting. The Planning Commission recommended approval of this case at <br />their June 19, 2013, meeting. <br />
