'It <br /> EN HILLS <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: April 30, 2012 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> FROM: Terry Maurer, Public Works Director �( <br /> SUBJECT: No Parking Resolution - Lake Johanna Boulevard <br /> Background <br /> At a previous City Council meeting, the Council asked for "No Parking" signs to be <br /> posted on the west side of Old Highway 10 from McCracken Lane to the railroad bridge. <br /> Bethel University was given a courtesy notification to see if they had any significant <br /> concerns. Their response is attached. They would prefer no parking on the east side of <br /> Old Highway 10 for the convenience of people parking on the side with the athletic <br /> facilities. <br /> Ramsey County was contacted because Old Highway 10 is their roadway. They have no <br /> problem with this request; in fact they have agreed to post the signs if the City purchases <br /> them. The Public Works Superintendent has secured the necessary signs. <br /> The County Traffic Engineer has asked to have the City Council pass a No Parking <br /> Resolution that they will then forward to Mn/DOT since Old Highway 10 is on the <br /> County's State Aid System. This is Mn/DOT's method of tracking these types of <br /> restrictions on the State Aid System.
