'It <br /> EN HILLS <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: April 30, 2012 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilme rs <br /> FROM: Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> SUBJECT: Appointment of Miriam Ward to the Northwest Youth <br /> & Family Services <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> The City Council decided to advertise for a volunteer from the community to represent <br /> the City on the Northwest Youth & Family Services Board. In this regard, Miriam Ward <br /> submitted an application and met with Councilmember Holden to discuss the position and <br /> organization. Councilmember Holden has been the City Council's representative on the <br /> Board. <br /> Following this discussion with Councilmember Holden, Miriam met with Jerry <br /> Hromatka, NYFS President and CEO, to talk about the Board, the appointment process <br /> and the organization. In mid April Jerry advised me that the Board had talked action to <br /> appoint Miriam Ward to the Board as the City representative. <br /> At this time, it is appropriate for the City Council to appoint Miriam Ward to the NYFS <br /> Board as the City representative.
