<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />OCTOBER 14, 2013 <br />5:30 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY HALL <br /> <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Grant called to order the City Council work <br />session at 5:34 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> Mayor David Grant; Councilmembers Brenda Holden, Fran Holmes, Dave <br />McClung, and Ed Werner <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> None <br /> <br />Also present <br /> : City Administrator Patrick Klaers; Director of Finance and Administrative <br />Services Sue Iverson; Public Works Director Terry Maurer; Community Development <br />Director Jill Hutmacher; City Planner Ryan Streff; and City Clerk Amy Dietl <br /> <br />1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />The Council accepted the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />2. AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br /> <br />A.Development Options for AUAR <br /> <br />Community Development Director Hutmacher <br />stated that based on Council direction at the <br />September 30, 2013, special work session meeting, Kimley-Horn has prepared two development <br />scenarios (zoning and maximum development) and an order formally initiating the Alternative <br />Urban Areawide Review (AUAR) process. She explained that Kimley-Horn was requesting that <br />the Council review and discuss the development scenarios and AUAR order prior to the October <br />14, 2013, Council meeting. <br /> <br />Beth Kunkel <br />, Kimley-Horn, indicated she has been working with Ramsey County and City staff <br />in preparation for developing the proposed scenarios for the AUAR. It was noted that Kimley- <br />Horn was seeking to address the Council long-term needs through the development of the <br />TCAAP site. She then discussed the AUAR process in further detail. <br /> <br />
