�fiN HILLS <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2014-004 <br /> A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING FEDERAL TRANSPORTATION ALTERNATIVES <br /> PROGRAM (TAP) FUNDING APPLICATION SUBMITTAL FOR AN OFF STREET <br /> SHARED USE TRAIL ON OLD HIGHWAY 10 FROM LAKE VALENTINE ROAD <br /> TO COUNTY ROAD E AND ON COUNTY ROAD E FROM OLD HIGHWAY 10 TO <br /> THE HIGHWAY 51 BRIDGE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills proposes to construct an off street shared use <br /> trail on Old Highway 10 from Lake Valentine Road (Valentine Park) to County Road E and <br /> on County Road E from Old Highway 10 to the Highway 51 bridge (Freeway Park); and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills approved a 2030 Comprehensive Plan, which <br /> includes these segments as a proposed improvement; and <br /> WHEREAS, the improvement will benefit the City of Arden Hills, Ramsey County, <br /> Mn/DOT, nearby universities, and local businesses; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills accepts responsibility for an amount equal or <br /> greater than 20 percent of the eligible project construction and right-of-way acquisition costs, <br /> together with the cost for design, administration, and peripheral project costs; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills is committed to year-round operation and <br /> maintenance of the proposed off-road shared use trail on Old Highway 10 and County Road <br /> E and commits to maintaining this facility for the useful life of the improvement. <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: The City of Arden Hills supports the <br /> application for Federal Transportation Funding through the Transportation Alternatives <br /> Program (TAP) for an off street shared use trail on Old Highway 10 and County Road E and <br /> is committed to completing this project if funding is provided. <br /> ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS 13TH <br /> DAY OF JANUARY, 2014. <br /> David Grant, MAYOR <br /> AT ST: <br /> r <br /> Amy Dietl, QITY CLERK <br />
