Boston Scientific Corporation <br />Building 14 Mechanical Addition <br />Land Use Application Narrative <br />November 4, 2013 <br /> <br /> <br />Boston Scientific would like to request a PUD amendment for an a <br />quadrant of its Arden Hills Campus. The purpose of the addition <br />ongoing manufacturing processes in the building. <br />The proposed addition is 1,310 gross square feet, single-story. The height of the addition shall match the <br />existing adjacent roofline at approximately 22 above grade. The <br />masonry with steel joist and deck roof structure. The exterior finish will be EIFS with color and reveal <br />pattern to match existing adjacent construction. Other exterior <br />louvers and prefinished metal coping. <br />The existing landscaped area at the addition is turf grass. The area disturbed by construction will be <br />restored to its previous condition. Coniferous trees equivalent <br />will be planted in the vicinity of the addition near the west pr <br /> <br />November 14, 2013 <br />Addendum #1: Response to City Planners Comments <br />Planner request: <Please provide> a more in-depth narrative describing the use of the new addition <br />and the equipment to be installed. <br />Question: What does the equipment do? <br />The equipment will include: two new air compressors, relocation of one existing compressor (for <br />backup only), two new air dryers, two new vacuum pumps, one compressed air s <br />and one vacuum storage tank. The purpose of the equipment is to <br />and process vacuum to the manufacturing lines in the building.
