CONSENT ITEM 5G <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: January 13, 2014 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Jill Hutmacher, Community Development Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Amendment #2 to Kimley-Horn Contract for TCAAP Master Plan <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Sources: <br />-0- $19,500 Ramsey County <br /> <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Authorize Amendment #2 to the Kimley Horn contract in the amount of $19,500 for the TCAAP <br />Master Plan which includes additional services related to the analysis of interchange <br />improvements at CSAH 96 and I-35W. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />On April 29, 2013, the City Council approved a contract with Kimley Horn for the TCAAP <br />master planning process in the amount of $426,004. This work is being entirely funded by <br />Ramsey County. <br /> <br />On August 12, 2013, the City Council approved Amendment #1 to the Kimley Horn contract. <br />The amendment was requested by Ramsey County and included the analysis and concept layout <br />for two interchanges (Highway 96 and County Road H) on I-35W. <br /> <br />Since that time, Ramsey County has requested that Kimley Horn complete additional work <br />related to Amendment #1 including additional project management; additional analysis at <br />County Road H/TH 10/CSAH 10; costs related to the open house to obtain public feedback on <br />the interchange concepts; and a planning review submittal to MnDOT. Ramsey County has <br />agreed to pay the full costs of Amendment #2. <br /> <br />Ramsey County has negotiated the attached Amendment #2 document. The amendment has <br />been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Attachment <br />
