 <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE:EDC Agenda Item 4.B <br />May 1, 2013 <br />TO: <br />Economic Development Commission Chair and Commissioners <br />FROM: <br />Jill Hutmacher, Community Development Director <br />SUBJECT: <br />Commercial/Industrial Property Analysis <br />City staff has begun an analysis of Arden Hills commercial and industrial property. Staff has <br />compiled data from GIS-based property records, the Minnesota Commercial Realtors <br />Association, and real estate industry reports. <br />As the City considers reactivating the EDA revolving loan fund, establishing a business retention <br />and expansion (BRE) program, or developing other long-term strategies for the City’s business <br />districts, it would be helpful to have a deeper understanding ofthe local commercial/industrial <br />market and its opportunities and challenges. <br />Over the course of 2013, staff will continue to refine and expand the analysis.
