CONSENT ITEM 5D <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: February 24, 2014 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Iverson, Director of Finance and Administrative Services <br />Pang Silseth, Accounting Clerk <br /> <br />SUBJECT: 2014 Fee Schedule <br /> <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />This is a housekeeping item to change the sanitary sewer charge language on the 2014 Fee Schedule, <br />which was adopted at a Council meeting on December 9, 2013. The proposed changes are to clarify <br />the distinction between single family homes and other properties. There have been some <br />misinterpretations on the rates with the language as it is currently written in the fee schedule. <br /> <br />Staff proposes the following changes: <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer Per Quarter: <br />Single Family <br />Base Charge Residential per lot $87.26 <br />Base Charge Multiple Family per dwelling $87.26 <br />Usage Over 15,000 gallons Residential gallons $5.03 per 1,000 gallons <br />Single Family/Multiple Family (pro-rated) <br />per 1,000 gallons <br />Sanitary Sewer Commercial gallons $5.44 <br />Apartment/Condominium (pro-rated) <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer Mobile Homes per unit $94.38 <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Motion to approve Ordinance 2014-002 revising the 2014 Fee Schedule and authorizing publication of <br />the Ordinance Summary. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />Attachment A: Ordinance 2014-002 <br />Attachment B: Ordinance Summary <br />
