<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JANUARY 27, 2014 <br />7:00 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor David Grant called to order the regular City <br />Council meeting at 7:01 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> Mayor David Grant, Councilmembers Brenda Holden, Fran Holmes, Dave <br />McClung, and Ed Werner <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> None <br /> <br />Also present <br /> : City Administrator Patrick Klaers; Director of Finance and Administrative <br />Services Sue Iverson; Public Works Director Terry Maurer; Community Development <br />Director Jill Hutmacher; Associate Planner Matthew Bachler; City Planner Ryan Streff; <br />City Attorney Joel Jamnik; and City Clerk Amy Dietl <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Grant <br /> requested an item be added to the agenda to allow staff to provide an update on the <br />Highway 10/County Road 96 project under Staff Comments. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holmes and Councilmember Holden seconded a motion to <br />approve the meeting agenda as amended. The motion carried unanimously <br />(5-0). <br /> <br />2. PUBLIC INQUIRIES/INFORMATIONAL <br /> <br /> <br />Kathryn Nelson <br />, 3475 Siems Court, provided comment on Old Snelling. She recommended that <br />the portion of Old Snelling from County Road E to TH 51 be reconstructed when work is <br />completed on the bridge. She stated that this section of roadway is in extremely poor condition. <br />Ms. Nelson suggested the median be reopened on TH 51 to allow access from Snelling <br />Avenue/Highway 51 to North Old Snelling. She recommended the City work with MnDOT on <br />reopening this access as it would benefit both residents and emergency traffic. <br /> <br />
