PUBLIC PRESENTATIONS 3A <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: March 31, 2014 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO:Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br /> <br /> <br />FROM: Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />SUBJECT: 2014 Legislative Session <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />State Representative Barb Yarusso is scheduled to attend this City Council meeting to <br />discuss the 2014 Legislative Session and issues of interest to Arden Hills. <br /> <br />Attached is some background information on Representative Yarusso, a map of her <br />district (42A), and a list of the bills that show her as Chief Author. <br /> <br />The big legislative issue for Arden Hills is funding for transportation improvements in <br />and around TCAAP. <br /> <br />On other topics of interest: a tax reduction bill has been approved, minimum wage bills <br />are being debated, and issues regarding e-cigarettes are being discussed. <br /> <br />State Senator Bev Scalze was also invited to this City Council meeting but she could not <br />attend due to a conflict with a Committee meeting. <br />
