PUBLIC HEARINGS –7C <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: <br />April 28, 2014 <br />TO: <br />Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br />FROM: <br />Ryan Streff, City Planner <br />SUBJECT:Planning Case #14-013–This Item Requires a Public Hearing <br />Applicant: <br />City of Arden Hills <br />Property Location: <br />Round Lake Road & Gateway Court <br />Request: <br />Right-of-way and Drainage and UtilityEasement Vacation <br />Requested Action <br />Approve Resolution 2014-017vacating certain portionsof right-of-way and drainage and <br />utility easementslocated in the area of Round Lake Road and Gateway Court. <br />Background <br />The City has been working with Egan, Field & Nowak(EFN), Inc. to replat the area near the <br />intersection of Round Lake Road and Gateway Court, which includes the propertieslocated <br />at 4300 Round Lake Round and 1987 Gateway Court.The replat is being completed so that <br />concerns with adequate right-of-way areas and drainage and utility easement areas are <br />addressed before the City commences the reconstruction work of Round Lake Road and <br />Gateway Court in 2014. However, before the City can approve the replat of this area certain <br />right-of-way areas and drainage and utility easements need to be vacated.
