ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL APRIL 14, 20142 <br /> <br />The final consultant selection and project initiation is expected in mid-May. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Hutmacher <br /> reported that at the April 7, 2014, Joint <br />Development Authority (JDA) meeting, the Commission discussed the application process and <br />requirements for Livable Communities grants administered by the Metropolitan Council. Grants <br />are available to cities that have negotiated long-term affordable and lifecycle housing goals <br /> housing chapter of the current <br />Comprehensive Plan. In addition, the City has agreed to a goal range for the number of new <br />affordable and life-cycle housing units for the years 2011-2020. The range is based on TCAAP <br />redevelopment plans contemplated in the 2030 Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Affordable Housing Goals Range Life-Cycle Housing Goals Range <br />187-288 285-800 <br /> <br />Community Development Director Hutmacher <br /> stated that the staff memo to the JDA, which <br />describes the grant programs, eligible expenditures, and the application process as well as the <br />HAP is included in the Council packet. A City Council resolution of support is required for any <br />LCA application. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Hutmacher <br /> indicated that special and regular City Council <br />work sessions have been scheduled to discuss issues related to the Master Plan and City <br />infrastructure. Discussion topics are tentatively planned as follows: <br /> <br />April 14, 2014, Special Work Session at 5:30 pm; Community Room <br /> <br />Review Draft Alternative Urban Areawide Review (AUAR) and Mitigation Plan <br /> <br />Financial Modeling for Trunk Utilities <br /> <br />Review of Public Comments on the Draft Master Plan <br /> <br />April 21, 2014, Regular Work Session at 5:00 pm; Council Chambers <br /> <br />Ramsey County Economic Development and Redevelopment Goals for TCAAP <br /> <br />PTRC Recommendations for Park and Open Space <br /> <br />City Goals for Surface Water Management <br /> <br />April 28, 2014, Special Work Session following the regular meeting; Council Chambers <br /> <br />I-35W/Highway 96 Intersection Design Recommendation <br /> <br />May 12, 2014, Special Work Session at 5:30 pm; Community Room <br /> <br />Residential Development and Densities <br /> <br />Infrastructure Update <br /> <br />City Utilities Financial Modeling <br /> <br />May 27, 2014 (Tuesday), Special Work Session at 5:30 pm; Community Room <br /> <br />Flex Space Land Use Discussion <br /> <br />I-35W/Highway 96 Intersection Discussion <br /> <br />
