<br />Attachment C <br />Approved: <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />APRIL 21,2014 <br />5:00 P.M. -ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Grantcalled to order the City Council work <br />session at 5:04p.m. <br />Present: <br />Mayor David Grant;CouncilmembersBrenda Holden, Fran Holmes, Dave <br />McClung, and Ed Werner <br />Absent: <br />None <br />Also present <br />:City AdministratorPatrick Klaers;City Attorney Joel Jamnik; Director of <br />Finance and Administrative Services Sue Iverson; Public Works Director Terry Maurer; <br />Community Development Director Jill Hutmacher; Parks and Recreation Manager Olson; <br />Associate Planner Matthew Bachler; City Planner Ryan Streff; and City Clerk Amy Dietl <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />The Councilaccepted the agenda as presented. <br />1.AGENDA ITEMS <br />C.Single Stream Recycling <br />City Planner Streff <br />explained that the City of Arden Hills has contracted for curbside recycling <br />service since 1992,for single family, duplex, triplex and fourplex residential dwelling units. <br />Currently the City utilizes a dual stream collection process that requires residents to separate <br />recyclables into two groups of materials: 1) all food and beverage containers; and 2) all paper and <br />fiber products. <br />Eureka Recycling has submitted a request to change the collection method from dual stream to <br />single stream collection. The change to single stream would also include the expansion of <br />recyclable plastic food packaging containers (#4 and #5) to be collected including; <br />• Tubs and bowls such as yogurt, butter and produce containers; <br />
