CONSENT ITEM 5E <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: July 28, 2014 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Terry Maurer, Public Works Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: TCAAP Infrastructure Analysis <br />Cost Sharing Agreement <br /> <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Approve the Cost Sharing Agreement for Consultant Services with Ramsey County for the <br />TCAAP infrastructure preliminary analysis in the amount of $144,312. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />Ramsey County solicited for consultant services for preliminary and final design services <br />regarding infrastructure to service the TCAAP site. After review of the proposals and interviews <br />of which the City took part, the team of Kimley-Horn/Wenck was chosen. The County has <br />provided notice to proceed on the preliminary design components of the proposal (consideration <br />of providing notice to proceed on the final design components will be done later). Some of these <br />items involve City utility analysis. As such, the City is being asked to enter into a cost-sharing <br />agreement for our share of the preliminary analysis. <br /> <br />The City is responsible for the sanitary sewer and water portion of the analysis, half the cost of <br />the storm water preliminary design, half the cost of the design charrette, and a prorate share of <br />the project management and overhead items. The total cost of the authorized work tasks is <br />$965,960. The City share of this is $144,312.
