The City will develop an application process to determine eligible <br />seniors, disabled and/or special needs residents who requiresuch service. <br />Yard Waste: <br />3.38Compostable yard waste material consisting of plants, weeds, tree or hedge <br />trimmings, grass clippings and leaves, but excluding tree limbs over 4 inches in diameter <br />and 48 inches in length. <br />4.GENERAL REQUIREMENTSFOR ALL COLLECTIONS <br />ContractorService Requirements <br />4.1 <br />Comprehensive recycling serviceswill be providedto all RDUs, with opportunities for <br />MUDbuildings, commercial, industrial and institutional properties to “opt-in” to the <br />service. Recyclables collection currently occursweekly on Tuesdays for properties south <br />of I-694 and on Wednesdays for properties north of I-694.The City will evaluate <br />alternate proposals for bi-weekly collection. <br />Recyclables <br />4.2 <br />The Recyclables defined in Section 3.6 shall be the minimum recyclables for collection <br />and processing. The City encourages respondents to propose additional recyclable <br />materials that have steady, multiple end markets. Such proposed additions must be <br />accompanied by adequate documentation of steady, multiple end markets. This <br />documentation may remain confidential if requested by the respondent. <br />Respondents may otherwise modify the list of recyclables if accompanied by adequate <br />documentation. <br />The City will encourage the Contractor to explore markets for additional types of <br />recyclable material. Thelistof recyclablesmay be modified by mutual written agreement <br />between the City and the Contractor. <br />Collection Vehicle Equipment Requirements <br />4.2 <br />All collection vehicles will comply with EPA and Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation emission standards. All vehicles must be able to comply with local road <br />weightlimits. <br />Respondentsmust indicate what model and year vehicles they will be using in their fleet <br />using Form Fin Attachment 2. <br />Personnel Requirements <br />4.3 <br />All proposals shall show that the Respondenthas sufficient personnel and equipment to <br />fulfill the requirements and specifications of this Agreement, includingsupervision and <br />customer service. <br />City of Arden Hills, Recycling RFP <br />October 2014 <br />Page 8 <br />
