Councilmember McCarthy represents District 10, which includes Arden Hills, <br />Blaine, Circle Pines, Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, Lexington, Mounds View, New Brighton, <br />North Oaks, Roseville, Shoreview, and Spring Lake Park. <br /> <br />Councilmember McCarthy works as a Legislative Assistant with the Minnesota Senate. She has <br />a background in community organizing and political advocacy, consulting and training. She <br />served for seven years on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross Twin Cities Area <br />Chapter and on the Community Service Outreach board. Her community service has also <br />included fundraising campaigns for the United Way and Habitat for Humanity, as well as <br />volunteering for humanitarian efforts in Africa. <br /> <br />A map of the Metropolitan Council districts is attached. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM – 1A <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br />
