<br />City of Arden Hills, Recycling RFP <br />October 2014 <br />Page 12 <br />4.7 Cleanup Responsibilities <br />Any materials spilled or blown during the course of collection and/or hauling operations <br />shall be cleaned up. Any unacceptable materials left behind should be secured within <br />resident’s recycling container. <br /> <br />Any liquid spills or leaks from the collection vehicle shall be immediately and completely <br />cleaned up, and the City shall be notified within one hour of spillage or leakage of truck <br />fluids (fuel, hydraulic fluid). <br /> <br />4.8 Missed Collection Policy & Procedures <br />Missed collections shall be picked up on the same day that the Contractor receives notice <br />of a missed collection. Staffing of a telephone-equipped office to receive missed collection <br />complaints between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, except holidays, and <br />on Saturdays shall be provided. <br /> <br />4.9 Holidays <br />When the scheduled collection day falls on a holiday, collection in that day’s zone and <br />subsequent days’ zones will be collected one day later, with Tuesday being collected on <br />Wednesday and Wednesday being collected on Thursday or on regular Wednesday. <br /> <br />Assistance shall be provided to the City in publicizing the yearly calendar including <br />alternate collection days. <br /> <br />4.10 Weighing of Loads <br />Accurate records consisting of the date, time, collection route, driver’s identification, <br />vehicle number, tare weight, gross weight, net weight, and number of recycling stops for <br />each loaded vehicle each collection day shall be kept. These records shall be maintained <br />on file for at least three years in the event of an audit by the City or County. <br /> <br />4.11 Utilities <br />All public and private utilities whether occupying street or public or private property shall <br />be protected. If such utilities are damaged by reason of the Contractor’s operations, under <br />the executed contract, repair or replacement shall be done. <br /> <br />4.12 Damage To Property <br />All necessary precautions will be taken to protect public and private property during the <br />performance of this Agreement. Any private or public property, including, but not limited <br />to sod, mailboxes or recycling carts which are damaged during recycl ing collections shall <br />be repaired or replaced. Such property damage shall be repaired or replaced within 48 <br />hours at no charge to the property owner, or a plan to repair or replace the property shall <br />be developed within 48 hours which is approved by the City and/or property owner, at no <br />charge to the property owner, with property of the same or equivalent value at the time of <br />the damage. <br /> <br />4.13 Municipal Facilities <br />Weekly recycling service shall be provided at no additional charge to:
