<br />City of Arden Hills <br />Planning Commission Meeting for May 7, 2014 <br /> <br />P:\Planning\Planning Cases\2014\PC 14-014 - Variance - 1850 Venus Avenue\Memos_Reports_14-014 <br /> <br />Page 10 of 10 <br /> <br />Notice <br /> <br />Although a variance does not require a public hearing, a public meeting notice was prepared by <br />the City and mailed to properties within three-hundred fifty (350) feet of the subject property. <br /> <br /> <br />Resident Comment <br /> <br />The City has not received any comments from surrounding residents in regards to this planning <br />case. <br /> <br />Scott Yonke from Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department did contact staff about the <br />project. Mr. Yonke informed staff that after reviewing the proposal the County would have no <br />objections to the plan; however, they did have concerns about grading and wanted the applicant <br />to be aware that no grading, retaining walls or other structures will be allowed on the County’s <br />property. <br /> <br /> <br />Deadline for Agency Actions <br /> <br />The City of Arden Hills received the completed application for this request on April 7, 2014. <br />Pursuant to Minnesota State Statute, the City must act on this request by June 6, 2014 (60 days), <br />unless the City provides the petitioner with written reasons for an additional 60-day review <br />period. The City may extend the review period beyond the 120 days, with the applicant’s <br />permission. <br /> <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />A. Application and Narrative <br />B.
