ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – AUGUST 11, 2014 3 <br /> <br />October 20, 2014, Regular Work Session at 5:00 pm, Council Chambers <br /> Discuss Chapter 9 (Open Space Standards) <br /> <br />October 27, 2014, Special Work Session at 5:30 pm, Community Room <br /> Water and Sewer System Update (Infrastructure) <br /> Final review of Chapter 9 (Open Space Standards) <br /> <br />Staff anticipated that additional regular and special work sessions will be scheduled to discuss <br />TCAAP issues. Future meeting topics will be defined as those dates draw nearer. <br /> <br />B. Transportation Update <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer reported that the Highway 10 and County Road 96 project punch <br />list should be completed in two weeks. He stated that the landscaping and pond was nearing <br />completion. Staff anticipated that this County project would be done by August 24th. He <br />discussed the traffic control situation on Hamline Avenue between County Road F and 96. He <br />explained that the concrete curb lines on Highway 96 were being replaced by the County. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden asked if staff had spoken with the County regarding the concrete work <br />on County Road F. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer indicated that he had reviewed this situation with the County <br />and that there had been seven or eight sidewalk panels that were in need of replacement. He <br />explained that these panels were replaced last week. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant asked if the drainage under the Highway 10/County Road 96 bridge should be <br />addressed. He stated that there was a fair amount of water under the bridge after the last rain <br />event. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer indicated that the low point on County Road 96 was directly <br />under the bridge. He stated that some of this concrete has been re-poured to address the issue. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant questioned if the holding ponds on the northwest side of the Highway 10/County <br />Road 96 intersection were an adequate size. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer reported that the ponds were properly sized for the area draining <br />to this location. <br /> <br />4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />A. June 16, 2014, Work Session <br />B. June 23, 2014, Special Work Session <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holmes moved and Councilmember Holden seconded a <br />motion to approve the June 16, 2014, work session minutes; and the June 23, <br />2014, special work session minutes as presented. The motion carried <br />unanimously (4-0).
