<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />AUGUST 11, 2014 <br />5:30 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY HALL <br /> <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Pro-Tem Holmes called to order the special <br />City Council work session at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor David Grant (arrived at 5:40 p.m.); Councilmembers Brenda <br />Holden, Fran Holmes, and Dave McClung <br /> <br /> Absent: Councilmember Ed Werner (excused) <br /> <br /> Also present: Director of Finance and Administrative Services Sue Iverson; Public Works <br />Director Terry Maurer; Community Development Director Jill Hutmacher; Associate <br />Planner Matthew Bachler; City Planner Ryan Streff; and City Clerk Amy Dietl <br /> <br />1. AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Water and Sewer System Review <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer stated that the Kimley Horn infrastructure team was present to <br />discuss the sanitary sewer and water portions of the project. In attendance are Jon Horn, Project <br />Manager, and Tom Lincoln, Task Leader for Land Development. <br /> <br />Staff reviewed the general points regarding the sanitary sewer and water portion of this analysis: <br /> <br />Water <br /> The scope of work includes creating a model of the existing City water system to help <br />determine how sufficient quantities of water at the appropriate pressure can be delivered to <br />the TCAAP site upon full development. This will help answer the question; is a water <br />tower needed on the site? <br /> Water is available to the site from two existing truck lines; one located south of Hwy 96 <br />and one located west of US 10. <br /> The analysis will look at the feasibility of taking over the infrastructure that serves the <br />Drivers Testing site and the State Surplus Sales facility that are currently serviced by <br />Mounds View water.
