DRAFT September 11, 2014 <br /> TCAAP Redevelopment Code <br />Page | 80 <br /> <br />7.8 Design of Parking Structures <br />(a) All ground floors of parking structures located on Pedestrian Priority frontages shall <br />be built to Commercial Ready standards to a minimum depth of 24 feet. <br />(b) To the extent possible, the amount of Pedestrian Priority frontage devoted to a <br />parking structure shall be minimized by placing the shortest dimension(s) of the <br />parking structure along the Pedestrian Priority frontage edge(s) (see Figures 7-8 for <br />illustrations below). <br /> <br /> Figures 7-8 Allowed Parking Garage Configurations <br /> <br />(c) Where above ground structured parking is located at the perimeter of a building with <br />Pedestrian Priority Frontage, it shall be screened in such a way that cars on all <br />parking levels are completely screened from view (see Figures 7-9 for illustrative <br />images). Architectural screens shall be used to articulate the façade, hide parked <br />vehicles and shield lighting. Parking garage ramps shall not be visible from any <br />Pedestrian Priority Frontages. Ramps shall not be located along the exterior <br />perimeter of the parking structure. <br /> <br />
