Freeway enhancements are being proposed for 2015 after it was delayed by <br />Council last year. Playground structure replacements and tennis court <br />reconstructions are going to be coming up every year beginning in 2016. Trail <br />improvements on County Road E and Old Snelling are being put in with street <br />improvements. The only addition made was the Mounds View trail from the 35 W <br />bridge to the high school is being proposed by staff to extend all the way to Valentine <br />Park. <br /> <br /> The vote was called to approve the minutes: The motion carried unanimously (7-0). <br /> <br />3. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />4. REPORTS <br /> <br /> <br />A. City Council Report <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Manager Olson reported for Council Member McClung who will <br />be arriving late. Ms. Olson reported that the Council is working with the JDA on a <br />compromise regarding the amount of park space that was recommended from the PTRC <br />and staff for TCAAP. At the most recent Council work session, the land use map was <br />reviewed and most of the park areas remained the same. The Hill park area was <br />reduced by 1.25 acres and the athletic complex in the corporate area, was reduced in half. <br />Ms. Olson reported that the Council will be looking at this map and recommendation <br />again on Monday, June 23rd. <br /> <br /> B. Public Works/Parks & Recreation Report <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Manager Olson reported that the Johanna Marsh tennis court will <br />be resurfaced in July sometime after Council approved it at a recent meeting. Ms. <br />Olson indicated that Johanna Marsh was a private court donated to the City. It is built <br />on a marsh land and reconstruction is most likely not possible. We will resurface it on a <br />schedule until it is unplayable and make decisions on the future of the court at that time. <br /> <br /> <br />5.
