<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />AUGUST 25, 2014 <br />7:00 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor David Grant called to order the regular City <br />Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor David Grant, Councilmembers Brenda Holden, Fran Holmes, Dave <br />McClung, and Ed Werner <br /> <br /> Absent: None <br /> <br /> Also present: City Administrator Patrick Klaers; Director of Finance and Administrative <br />Services Sue Iverson; Community Development Director Jill Hutmacher; Assistant City <br />Engineer John Anderson; Parks and Recreation Manager Michelle Olson; Associate <br />Planner Matthew Bachler; and City Clerk Amy Dietl <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holmes moved and Councilmember Holden seconded a <br />motion to approve the meeting agenda as presented. The motion carried <br />unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />2. PUBLIC INQUIRIES/INFORMATIONAL <br /> <br />Chad Myers, 3441 Lake Johanna Boulevard, presented the Council with a handout and discussed <br />the poor road conditions of Grant Road, Noble Road, and Lake Lane. He feared that the quality of <br />the roads in his neighborhood could deter people from moving into Arden Hills. He questioned <br />how much the City budgeted for streets on a yearly basis. He suggested that the Council consider <br />improving these three roads in the near future. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant reported that Grant Road, Noble Road, and Lake Lane have been included in the <br />2015 Capital Improvement Plan, along with the Valentine neighborhood. He explained that the <br />City tries to complete one mile of streets per year which costs approximately $1 million. He <br />further reviewed how the Council evaluated street conditions in the City of Arden Hills. He
