<br />Prohibited Sign Types <br />As proposed, the TRC sign standards would permit certain sign types currently prohibited under <br />the Arden Hills Sign Code. The TRC allows for the use of Building Projecting Signs, Roof <br />Signs, and Tenant Blade Signs. The existing Sign Code prohibits both projecting signs and roof <br />signs. Once adopted, for development in TCAAP, the TRC will supersede any regulations found <br />in the Arden Hills Code, including restrictions on certain sign types. <br /> <br /> <br />Council Comments <br /> <br />During the City Council Work Session on September 15, 2014, the Council reviewed Chapter 11 <br />of the TCAAP Redevelopment Code (TRC) and provided the following comments: <br /> <br />Sign standards should restrict the height of the base of monument signs. CM Holden <br />Sign standards should prohibit streaming signs and video signs. Mayor Grant <br />Sign standards should restrict the use of non-shielded bands of LED lights.
