Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />DATE: November 10, 2014 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Jill Hutmacher, Community Development Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Replacement of Building Inspections Vehicle <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Sources: <br />$20,000.00 $20,000.00 2014-2018 CIP <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Approve purchase of a 2013 Ford Escape for $20,000.00. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />The current inspections vehicles consist of a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer and a 2003 F250 obtained <br />from our public works department. Both vehicles are 10 years old or more and are requiring <br />repairs. Staff is seeking to replace the F250 with a new vehicle. <br /> <br />Attached is a copy of the purchase agreement for a used 2013 Ford escape with 29,227 miles. <br />The total price with taxes and fees is $20,000. Previously approved in this year’s budget was <br />$20,000 for an inspections vehicle. A list of the vehicle’s equipment is also attached. <br /> <br />Staff would continue to use the 2004 Chevy Blazer mainly for inspection and code enforcement <br />use.
