It was also recommended that <br />standards be set to limit the size of the base area of monument signs in relation to the total area <br />of the sign structure. Staff was given direction to evaluate whether the formula used for <br />allocating wall signage on single tenant commercial and institutional buildings was providing a <br />sufficient amount of sign area. <br /> <br />In its current draft, the TRC would permit certain sign types currently prohibited under the Arden <br />Hills Sign Code, such as roof signs and projecting signs. The City Council determined that roof <br />signs should not be a permitted sign type in the TRC. Building Projecting Signs would be <br />allowed, but would be removed as a permitted sign type from the Flex Office District.
