ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – OCTOBER 27, 2014 19 <br /> <br />Mayor Grant believed that the City was more concerned with traffic calming than the volume of <br />traffic. <br /> <br />Councilmember Werner did not see a need for speed bumps in this area. <br /> <br /> The amendment carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />The motion with the four amendments carried 4-1 (Holden opposed). <br /> <br />9. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />10. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung encouraged the Council to attend the Ramsey County League of Local <br />Government’s Annual Meeting at the end of November. It was noted that the event would be held <br />at The Mermaid in Mounds View. He stated that the topic of discussion would be the recent <br />election results. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden asked who would be attending the TCAAP Charrette on Friday, October <br />31, 2014. <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung and Mayor Grant were not able to attend. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes was disappointed that the Council received no advance notice for this <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes notified staff that she would not be able to attend the November 5, 2014 <br />Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant indicated that he attended the Energy Resilience Board meeting last week. He <br />noted that Evergreen Energy made a presentation to the group and discussion was held on a <br />variety of energy topics. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Mayor Grant seconded a motion to <br />adjourn.
