<br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MN <br />CONTRACT FOR THE COLLECTION OF RESIDENTIAL RECYCLABLE MATERIALS Page 17 <br />rate fee from the RDU or MDU for such services. However, the Contractor shall not be entitled <br />to receive payment for dwelling units for which the Contractor has received notice from the City <br />of discontinuance of service. The City shall be entitled to offsets in its payments to Contractor <br />for Contractor errors or omissions as specified in the Liquidated Damages Section 13. <br /> <br />14.5 The City will compensate the Contractor through the base Contract prices set for recyclable <br />collection services for RDU’s. Commencing May 4, 2015, the base Contract prices will be: <br /> <br />Recyclables Collection shall be $3.03 per eligible RDU per month for weekly recycling service. <br />Eligible RDU with more than one (1) cart will be charged an additional fee of $2.00 per <br />household per month per cart. <br /> <br />14.6 City will compensate the Contractor through the base Contract prices set for recyclable <br />collection services for MDU’s. Commencing May 4, 2015, the base Contract prices will be: <br /> <br />Recyclables Collection shall be $55.00 per eligible MDU per month for each four yard container <br />serviced once per week or $4.25 per eligible MDU per month for each 65 gallon cart serviced <br />once per week. <br /> <br />14.7 The City shall provide an annual count of eligible RDU’s and MDU’s by January 1 of each year. <br />These annual counts may include additional RDU’s and MDU’s added due to new development, <br />redevelopment or other such changes. <br /> <br />14.8 The Contract price will be multiplied by the total number of RDU’s and MDU’s as determined <br />by the City to result in the monthly payment amount to Contractor. <br /> <br />14.9 Processing Fees and Revenue Share <br />14.9.1 The processing fee for all recyclable material commodities shall be $66.00 per ton. <br />14.9.2 There shall be no processing fee for residual materials. <br />14.9.3 The Revenue Share on all commodities shall be split between the City and the Contractor <br />at a rate of 80% (City)/ 20% (Contractor). <br />14.9.4 The revenue will be calculated by multiplying the tons of individual material collected by <br />the agreed upon material price. Total revenue shall be calculated by adding all of the <br />revenue generated for each of the materials collected and processed. Contractor shall <br />guarantee a minimum price on all materials of $0.00 per ton. If a particular material price <br />is negative, a price of $0.00 per ton shall be used. <br />14.9.5 Processing fee will be calculated by multiplying the tons of individual materials collected <br />by the agreed upon processing fee as described in Section 14.9.1. Total Processing Fees <br />will be calculated by adding all of the processing fees generated for each of the materials <br />collected and processed. <br />14.9.6 Revenue share received by the City will be calculated by subtracting the Total Processing <br />Fee from the Total Revenues. If the remainder is positive, that number represents the <br />revenue that shall be split between the City and the Contractor 80% (City)/20% <br />(Contractor). <br /> <br />
