Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />DATE: February 23, 2015 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: John Anderson, Assistant City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Round Lake Road Area Improvement - Payment #7/Change Order #2 <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Approve Change Orders #2 and Payment #7 to Meyer Contracting, Inc., in the amount of <br />$31,179.93 for the Round Lake Road Area Improvement. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The City Council awarded the Round Lake Road Area Improvement to Meyer Contracting, Inc., <br />on May 12, 2014, in the amount of $1,766,605.41. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />This seventh pay request includes work through December 31, 2014. Five percent is being <br />withheld from the work completed according to the contract documents. The payment is in the <br />amount of $31,179.93. Major items of work for this payment are: <br /> <br /> storm sewer <br /> temporary striping <br /> restoration <br /> <br />Change Order #2 is for additional work to extend storm sewer piping at the south end of Round <br />Lake Road due to the elevation of the existing storm sewer being too high.
