EDC Minutes <br />December 3, 2014 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />Council Liaison Werner provided an updated draft of the map showing the realignment to the <br />Spine Road. <br />City Administrator Klaers mentioned that the Council has been meeting almost every Monday <br />to discuss the TCAAP project. He commented that there are many items that need to be fine- <br />tuned and decided. He mentioned that there will be a TCAAP Open House from 4:00-6:00 p.m. <br />on Tuesday, December 9, in the Marsden Room. The Open House will provide information <br />related to infrastructure improvements (roads, sewer, water, roundabouts, and the 96/35 <br />divergent diamond bridge). <br />Commissioner Huninghake asked what type of building was being constructed on Highway 96 <br />City Administrator Klaers informed the commissioners that the Army Reserve was building a <br />Readiness Center which is on GHATS property and is not part of TCAAP. <br />City Administrator Klaers indicated that the EDA did not hold their regular meeting at the end <br />of October and, therefore, did not approve the BRE project. Ile stated that this is an important <br />project for 2015 and thinks that there is support from the EDA for the project as it is in the <br />approved budget for 2015. <br />C. Commission Members <br />Chair Von Holtum indicated that James Huninghake's term is expiring at the end of December <br />and thanked him for his service. <br />D. Council Liaison <br />Council Liaison Werner indicated that his term is also expiring and that it was a pleasure <br />working with everyone on the EDC. He appreciated the work done by staff. He also mentioned <br />that the Truth and Taxation hearing would be held at the City Council meeting on December 8 <br />and that the proposed levy increase was 5%. <br />E.
