DATE: March 30, 2015 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Amy Dietl, City Clerk <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Consider Approval of Transfer of Great China Liquor License <br /> <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />Lhasa Café LLC, dba Great China, has requested to transfer its on-sale wine and Sunday liquor <br />license due to new ownership of the restaurant. The new owners (Tenzin Wangyaz, Jampa <br />Tender, and Sangya Dhondup) officially closed on the purchase of Great China, located at 3547 <br />Lexington Avenue N, on March 13, 2015. <br /> <br />Staff is in receipt of all the necessary paperwork and associated fees, and background checks <br />have been successfully completed by the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office. <br /> <br />In addition to holding a public hearing tonight, the on-sale wine and Sunday liquor license <br />application is also being presented for approval. <br /> <br />All required information will be submitted to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety <br />Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement upon approval of the license by the City Council. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Hold a public hearing to receive input regarding the transfer of an on-sale wine and Sunday <br />liquor license for Great China, located at 3547 Lexington Avenue North, Arden Hills, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />In addition, consider approval of the transfer of an on-sale wine and Sunday liquor license to <br />Great China, located at 3547 Lexington Avenue North, Arden Hills, Minnesota. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS – 7B <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br />
