Number of Required Bicycle Parking Spaces. For commercial <br />uses, one bicycle parking space shall be provided for every twenty <br />(20) automobile parking spaces. A minimum of two (2) parking <br />spaces is required. <br /> <br />R. Drainage/Water Management Plan: A plan must be submitted with <br />each project or lot development in the Districts. The plan must be <br />approved by the Rice Creek Watershed District, other agencies as <br />required, and the engineer assigned by the City. Two or more lots or <br />projects may coordinate their plans for their mutual benefit. <br />R. Drainage / Water Management Plan: Stormwater management plans <br />shall comply with Rule C: Stormwater Management Plans of Rice Creek <br />Watershed District Rules. <br />S. Environmental Conservation and Sustainability. The City encourages <br />the use of green materials and environmentally friendly construction and <br />site design such as the use of pervious surfaces, green rooftops, energy <br />efficient materials, LEED standards, and other green building techniques. <br /> <br />1325.055 Tree Preservation. (adopted 4/28/08) <br /> <br />Subd. 1 Findings, Purpose and City Authority. <br /> <br />A. Findings and Purpose. The purpose of this section is to identify trees <br />that are to be saved when development or land disturbing activity is <br />occurring. It is the City's intent to protect, preserve, and enhance the <br />natural environment of Arden Hills and to encourage a resourceful and <br />prudent approach to development. The city council finds it is in the best <br />interest of the city to protect, preserve, and enhance the natural <br />environment of the community and to encourage a resourceful and <br />prudent approach to development and property alteration. In the interest <br />of achieving these objectives, the city has established the comprehensive <br />tree preservation regulations herein to promote the furtherance of the <br />following: <br /> <br />1. Protect and preserve the environment and natural beauty of the <br />City; <br /> <br />2. Minimize tree and habitat loss during development and <br />construction; <br /> <br />3. Establish minimum standards for tree preservation and the <br />mitigation of environmental impacts resulting from tree removal; <br /> <br />4. Enforce tree preservation standards to promote and protect the <br />public health, safety and welfare of the community.
