<br />City of Arden Hills <br />Economic Development Commission April 1, 2015 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: April 1, 2015 EDC Agenda Item 4.A <br /> <br />TO: Economic Development Commission Chair and Commissioners <br /> <br />FROM: Jill Hutmacher, Community Development Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Business Retention and Expansion Program <br /> <br /> <br />At the March 4, 2015, Economic Development Commission meeting, Commissioners discussed <br />and provided direction on the survey instrument and business list to be used for the Business <br />Retention and Expansion Program. The survey instrument has been expanded to include <br />questions specific to Arden Hills regarding the City’s revolving loan program and the State of <br />the City event. Approximately 70 businesses, primarily new and/or retail establishments, have <br />been added to the business list. <br /> <br />At the April 1, 2015, EDC meeting, Commissioners are requested to: <br />1. Finalize the survey instrument; <br />2. Approve the business list; and <br />3. Prioritize business visits. <br /> <br />Jonathan Weinhagen, St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, will attend the meeting and provide <br />additional information on Arden Hills businesses with expansion potential. <br /> <br />A copy of the revised survey instrument is attached. The updated business list will be distributed <br />at the meeting. <br />
