In the 2015 Land Use Application (Attachment A), the applicant <br />states “The Holiday site is completely surrounded and any visual impact buffered and mitigated by the <br />roadways … Round Lake Rd wrapping around the site on the east and south … The next nearest <br />residences are east across Round Lake, facing Hwy. 10.” <br />As the Planning Commission is aware, the Holiday Stationstore is uniquely situated on the northwest <br />corner of Round Lake, a designated wildlife refuge. The fact that the Holiday station is located across the <br />street from the lakeshore does not constitute sufficient visual buffer to avoid the impact of added light <br />affecting homes across the lake. As the Planning Committee can imagine, the homes “facing Hwy 10”
