The square should have an formal character and be defined <br />by the surrounding building frontages and adjacent tree-lined <br />streets. All buildings adjacent to the square shall front onto the <br />square. Adjacent streets shall be lined with appropriately scaled <br />trees that help to define the square. <br /> <br />The landscape shall consist of lawns, trees, and shrubs planted in <br />formal patterns and furnished with paths and benches. Shaded <br />areas for seating should be provided.
