Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />DATE: June 17, 2015 <br /> <br />TO: Chair Thompson and Planning Commissioners <br /> <br />FROM: Jill Hutmacher, Community Development Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: TCAAP Redevelopment Code and Comprehensive Plan Amendment <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />The City Council preliminarily approved the TCAAP Redevelopment Code (TRC) on May 26, <br />2015, and authorized staff to move forward with work on the Comprehensive Plan Amendment <br />(CPA). On June 3, 2015, the Planning Commission discussed the process, timeline, and <br />requirements for the CPA. Since that time, City staff and consultants have prepared specific <br />amendments to the Comprehensive Plan, and the City Council has reviewed amendments at work <br />sessions on June 8 and 15, 2015. <br /> <br />A presentation on the planning process, feedback from public comments and participation, key <br />elements of the TRC, and amendments to the Comprehensive Plan will be provided to the <br />Planning Commission on June 17. <br /> <br />Public Hearings on the TRC and CPA are tentatively scheduled for the July 8, 2015, Planning <br />Commission meeting. The draft TRC is posted on the City’s website with a link from the home <br />page to allow convenient public review of the document. Following the Public Hearings, the <br />City Council will consider public comments prior to making final approval of the TRC and CPA <br />contingent on Metropolitan Council approval. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />A.
