Brown, P.E. <br /> Date: April 12, 2001 <br /> Subject: 2001 Street Seal Coating Project <br /> The 2001 Street Seal Coating Project consists of seal coating two neighborhoods equaling <br /> approximately 68,000 square yards of bituminous pavement. One neighborhood is on the north <br /> and East Side of Karth Lake; the other neighborhood borders either side of Valentine Lake <br /> Road. A segment of Crystal Avenue and Dell View Avenue were seal coated in 1997 and are <br /> • not included in this project. <br /> This project will be using the same Dresser trap rock aggregate used in the 2000 seal coating <br /> project. City crews will be performing the crack sealing prior to seal coating and street sweeping <br /> after the seal coating. The Contractor will be responsible for street sweeping prior to applying <br /> the seal coat and aggregate. <br /> Bids are scheduled to be opened May 8th and presented at the May 14th Council meeting for <br /> approval. A completion date of June 29, 2001 has been set for this project assuming an award <br /> date of May 15th. The Engineer's estimate for this project is approximately$50,500.00. <br /> • <br />
