     CONSENT ITEM – 5G <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE:July 27, 2015 <br />TO:Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br />FROM:Amy Dietl, City Clerk <br />SUBJECT:Adopt Resolution 2015-038 Authorizing the Use of New Voting System <br />Background <br />All of the cities who contract with the Ramsey County Elections Office for election administration services <br />have been asked to adopt a resolution authorizing the use of a new voting system. Ramsey County Elections <br />Manager Joe Mansky expects the county board to approve the new v oting system at their meeting on August <br />11 , 2015 . The new votin g system that has been chosen will be purchased through a company called Hart <br />Verity. The new system will be used for the City and school district general election on November 3, 2015. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Approve Resolution 2015-038 Adopting the Use of a New Voting System. <br />Attachment <br />Attachment A: Resolution 2015-038
