ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – JULY 27, 2015 3 MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Woodburn seconded a motion to approve the Consent Calendar as presented and to authorize execution of all necessary documents contained therein. The motion carried unanimously (3-0). 6. PULLED CONSENT ITEMS None. 7. PUBLIC HEARINGS None. 8. NEW BUSINESS None. 9. UNFINISHED BUSINESS A. City Administrator Recruitment Process Director of Finance and Administrative Services Iverson explained that the City Council accepted City Administrator Klaers’ resignation effective October 2, 2015, at its June 29th meeting. She reported that the Personnel Committee met on June 30th and directed staff to receive proposals from two firms to assist with the City Administrator recruitment process. The City received two proposals which were reviewed by the Personnel Committee. The Personnel Committee is recommending that the Council enter into a contract with Korn Ferry not to exceed $25,500 for the recruitment of a City Administrator. MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Woodburn seconded a motion to enter into a contract with Korn Ferry not to exceed $25,500 for recruitment of a City Administrator. The motion carried (3-0). 10. COUNCIL COMMENTS Councilmember Holden noted that she would be out of town for Night to Unite which means that she will not be able to attend any of the neighborhood events in Arden Hills. Councilmember Woodburn discussed the City’s Zoning Code with regard to antennas. He believed that the current language was quite confusing. He requested that staff review the language to eliminate the ambiguity. Associate Planner Bachler commented that staff will look at the existing provisions. Acting Mayor Pro-Tem Holmes indicated that she too will be out of town for Night to Unite.
