'It <br /> EN HILLS <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2015-45 <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING A VACANCY ON THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> WHEREAS,on October 2, 2015, City Councilmember Robert Woodburn passed away; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS,under Minn. Stat. § 351.02 an elected office becomes vacant on the death <br /> of an incumbent;and <br /> WHEREAS, 38 months remain on Councilmember Woodburn's unexpired term; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 412.02 subd. 2a,the Arden Hills City Council is <br /> required to fill the vacancy on the City Council by appointment until the qualification of a <br /> successor elected at a special election to fill the unexpired portion of the term held on or before <br /> the next regular City election. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills: <br /> 1. A vacancy is declared to exist on the City Council created by the death of <br /> Councilmember Woodburn. <br /> 2. Pursuant to Minn.
