<br /> <br />DATE: October 26, 2015 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Sue Iverson, Acting City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sara Grant, Parks and Recreation Coordinator <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Appointment of Rich Straumann as Chair of the Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee <br />(PTRC) <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br />Jennifer Stephens (PTRC) chair resigned from the committee. Her resignation not only created a <br />vacancy on the Committee but has also created a vacant chair position. Per the Parks , Trails and <br />Recreation Committee Liaison, Councilmember Holden, long standing Committee Member Rich <br />Straumann has volunteered to fill the role of the Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee Chair. <br />Mr. Straumann term expires December 31, 2016. Mayor Grant recommends the appointment of <br />Rich Straumann as Chair of the Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee. <br /> <br />Recommended Action <br />It is recommended that the City Council approve Resolution 2015-047 appointing Rich <br />Straumann as Chair of the Parks Trails and Recreation Committee with a term expiration of <br />December 31, 2016. <br /> <br />Attachment <br />Attachment A: Resolution 2015-047 <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEM – 6E (second item) <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br />
