<br /> <br />DATE: November 30, 2015 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Iverson, Acting City Administrator <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Approve Resolution No. 2015-049 Appointing Liz Johnson to serve on <br />the Economic Development Commission for a term expiring December 31, <br />2018 <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The Economic Development Commission (EDC) currently has six members. The guidelines state <br />that this committee can have up to nine members, four of which must be residents of Arden <br />Hills. <br /> <br />Staff recently received an application from Arden Hills’ resident Liz Johnson. An interview <br />panel consisting of EDC Chair Steve Heikkila, Mayor Grant, Council liaison Brenda Holden, and <br />staff liaison Jill Hutmacher interviewed Ms. Johnson on Thursday, November 12th. <br /> <br />After completing the interview, Mayor Grant recommends appointing Ms. Johnson to the EDC <br />for a three-year term expiring on December 31, 2018. <br /> <br />Recommended Action <br /> <br />Motion to approve Resolution No. 2015-049: Appointing Liz Johnson to the Economic <br />Development Commission (EDC) for a term expiring December 31, 2018. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />Attachment A: Resolution 2015-049 <br />Attachment B: Liz Johnson Application <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEM – 6H <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br />
