DATE: January 11, 2016 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Susan Iverson, Acting City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: John Anderson, Acting Public Works Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Mounds View High School Trail - Pay Estimate No. 1 <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Approve payment of invoice to the City of New Brighton in the amount of $513,577.62 for the <br />Mounds View High School Trail <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The City Council Approved a Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) with the City of New Brighton on <br />May 11, 2015, for a contract with Bituminous Roadways to construct the trail from the easterly <br />bridge terminus to the west driveway to Mounds View High School. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />This first pay request includes work through the end of 2015. Two percent is being withheld <br />from the work completed according to the contract documents. The payment includes 5% for <br />engineering as specified in the JPA. The amount due to the City of New Brighton for this pay <br />estimate is $513,577.62. Final payment is expected to be made sometime in early 2016 once the <br />balance of the New Brighton project is completed and closed out. <br /> <br />Financial Implications <br /> <br />The project is funded by Municipal State aid funds and funds from Mounds View High School. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />Attachment A: New Brighton Invoice 1/5/16 <br />CONSENT ITEM – 6E <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br />
