City of Arden Hills Personnel Policy Effective Februar'29.201-5G <br />CITY PROPERTY <br />The City will furnish all applicable tools, equipment,vehicles and similar instruments of <br />production necessary for an employee to perform their job.Such items are the responsibility <br />of the employee to maintain.City vehicles shall not be used for transportation from a specific <br />job site or location for the purpose of taking a rest period or lunch period,unless authorized <br />b the supervisor.No Ci equipment of an kind is to be used or operated by anyone other commented(spa]:This is consistent with the LMC policy. <br />y p ryY Talked about further in the`Break"section, <br />than a City employee.The willful damage,destruction,or the unauthorized removal of city- <br />owned property shall be grounds for immediate dismissal. <br />Any employee who has authorized possession of keys tools cell phones,pagers,or other <br />city owned equipmentmust register his/her name and the serial number(if applicable) ox <br />identifying information about the equipment with his/her supervisor.All such equipment <br />must be turned in and accounted for by any employee leaving employment with the city in <br />order to resign in good standing. <br />Employees are responsible for the safekeeping and care of all such equipment.The <br />duplication of keys owned by the city is prohibited unless authorized by the eCity <br />Administrator. Any employee found having an unauthorized duplicate key will be subject <br />to disciplinary action. <br />CITY VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT <br />City vehicles and equipment shall be used only in conjunction with performance of City <br />operations and duties. Persons operating City vehicles shag net prohibited from <br />provider rides to non-authorized passengers. Employees are prohibited from using City <br />vehicles or other City equipment for personal purposes without prior approval from the City <br />Administrator. <br />CITY DRIVING POLICY <br />This policy applies to all employees who drive a vehicle on eCity business whether driving a Formatted:Font:Not Bold <br />eCityowned vehicle or their own personal vehicle The Citi expects all employees who are Formatted:Font:Not Bold <br />required to drive as dart of their job to drive safely and legally when on Cita business and to Formatted:Font:Not Bold <br />maintain a good driving record. <br />The Cita will examine driving records once per dear for all employees who are covered by this <br />polite to determine compliance with this policy. Employees who lose their driver's license ox <br />receive restrictions on their license are required to notify their immediate supervisor on the <br />first day of work after aU temporary,pending or permanent action is taken on their license <br />and to keep their supervisor informed of any changes thereafter. <br />22
