CONSENT ITEM – 6D <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br /> <br />DATE: February 29, 2016 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Iverson, Interim City Administrator, Director of Finance and Admin Services <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Accept Dave Winkel’s retirement and Authorization to Advertise for a Public Works <br />Maintenance Worker <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />At the February 16, 2016 work session, the City Council received a letter from Dave Winkel stating his <br />intent to retire effective February 29, 2016. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Dave Winkel has been an employee in the Public Works Department since April of 1978. His retirement will <br />leave a vacancy in the Public Works Department, as discussed with the Council at the February 16, 2016 <br />work session. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />Motion to accept Dave Winkel’s retirement from the City of Arden Hills as a Public Works Maintenance <br />Worker effective February 29, 2016 and authorization to advertise for a full-time Public Works Maintenance <br />Worker. <br />
