Ms. Olson made one change under Memorials that <br /> said plan must be approved by O&M Director. <br /> Chair Henry stated in regards to the naming criteria, it makes sense as it stand if the park or trail is named <br /> after somebody, but if the park or trail is named a geographic location, them the previous designation <br /> would be best. <br /> MOTION Committee Member McClung move, seconded by Committee Member Zilmer to approve <br /> the Naming Guidelines as amended. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> Ms. Olson asked if the PTRC wanted to make a recommendation to Council to name a trail after <br /> Andersen for formal approval. <br /> Chair Henry replied not at this time. <br /> 9. TORONTO PEDESTIAN CHARTER <br /> Bronx River Parkway, a heavily traveled road, is closed from 10:00 am-2:00 pm for bicycles on Sundays. <br /> Chair Henry state is was like closing Highway 96 <br /> 10. CELEBRATING ARDEN HILLS <br /> It was suggested that PTRC members could work one hour shifts at the information booth to answer park <br /> related questions. A Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee banner will be put up. We will also have <br /> the park comp plan and maps available. A sign up sheet will be passed around. <br /> • 11. NEXT MEETING DATE <br /> The next meeting will be held on August 18''. It will be a joint meeting with the Planning Commission at <br /> Tony Schmidt Park. <br /> 12. ADJOURN <br /> MOTION Committee Member Straumann moved and Committee Member <br /> Crassweller seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:20 p.m. <br />
