CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: December 4, 2000 <br />TO: Joe Lynch, City Administrator <br />FROM: Thomas J. Moore, Parks and Recreation Director 0;�—J <br />SUBJECT: Parks and Recreation Fourth Quarter Report <br />Parks <br />• Phase II of the Arden Manor Park Project was started. The landscaping was installed, <br />along with the fencing for the Basketball Court. Pavement of the entrance road will <br />be completed in the spring. <br />• Warminghouses are winterized and Ice Rink flooding has begun. <br />• All Warminghouses have been re keyed onto a Master Key system. All other locks <br />(gates, lights, and storage bins) have been standardized as well. <br />• All Athletic Turf areas have received a winter fertilizer treatment. <br />• The irrigation systems at Perry Park and Round Lake Blvd. have been prepared for <br />the winter. <br />• The Youth Soccer Field Usage agreement between The City, Northwestern College <br />and Presbyterian Homes has been extended for another year. <br />• All Trails have been cleared of brush and debris. <br />• All Trail benches and trash containers have been painted and repaired where needed. <br />• Tree maintenance has taken place in Floral Park and Ingerson Park. <br />• State mandated replacement bleachers have been purchased and will be installed next <br />spring at Perry Park and Hazelnut Park. <br />• The Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee has completed the selection process for a <br />vendor for the Comprehensive Park Plan. <br />• Tony Schmidt Park has been reserved, free of charge, for the City's 50th Celebration <br />on Saturday June 23, 2001. <br />• Vendors for Day in Park have been secured. <br />• Boy Scout and 4H projects have been secured for next year to take place at Crepeau <br />Nature Preserve and the Sampson Park — Hazelnut Park trail segment. <br />• I have been re appointed to the Minnesota Recreation & Parks (MRPA) Legislative <br />Committee. <br />Recreation <br />• 1 9. <br />43 programs were offered. This is an increase of 3 over the fall of 99 <br />M051.4-- <br />
