MINUTES <br />PARKS, TRAILS & RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2000, 7:00 P.M. <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY HALL <br />4634 W. ROUND LAKE ROAD <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Acting Chairperson Messerly called the October 24, 2000 meeting of the Parks, Trails <br />and Recreation Committee to order at 7:04 p.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT <br />Members present were Don Messerly, Don Tix, Rich Straumann, Patrick Krenn, and <br />Steve Zilmer, Tom Moore, Council Liaison David Grant, and Joan Lenzmeier, Recording <br />Secretary. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT <br />Members absent were Jim Johnson, Louis Speggen, and Jim Crassweller. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />The Agenda was approved by consensus. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the August 22, 2000 meeting were unanimously approved with the <br />following changes: On Page 3 the correct spelling of "Cost" is "Kost". Council Liaison <br />Grant requested he be referred to as Council Liaison Grant rather than Mr. Grant for the <br />Minutes. <br />COUNCIL LIAISON REPORT <br />Council Liaison Grant reported the Council approved the Winter ice skating plan. The <br />pleasure rink at Valentine Park was approved and will include a warming house which is <br />in keeping with other rinks around the City. <br />RECREATION UPDATE <br />Tom Moore told the Committee Michelle Olson will no longer be attending the Park, <br />Trails and Recreation Committee meetings as she is very busy with other responsibilities <br />for the City. <br />0 <br />
