0 PARKS & RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />MISSION STATEMENT <br />Arden Hills Parks & Recreation is dedicated to serving the people of Arden Hills <br />by providing a comprehensive, well -maintained system of parks, trails, facilities, <br />and open spaces, and a balanced, well -organized program of affordable <br />recreational activities. <br />1995 <br />GOALS <br />a) Perry Park Redevelopment <br />- Contingent upon additional funding sources <br />- Spend $200,000 from Park Fund <br />b) Trail Plan. To establish a plan that identifies all possible trail areas <br />within the City. <br />- This includes surveying existing trail easements and marking them <br />properly so that residents with adjoining property are aware of where <br />the easement is located. <br />- Timelines will be set on each trail segment to identify when areas will <br />be upgraded (i.e., McClung development paved in 1995 or 1996) <br />- Identify additional areas both on -road and off -road that could be used <br />in our trail system. <br />c) TCAAP property park plans <br />d) Round Lake Park plans <br />e) Review of Park Dedication ordinance <br />1996 and Next 5 Years <br />a) Trail Improvements <br />- Plan to spend $20,000 each year to upgrade (asphalt or some other <br />type of multi -use surface) <br />b) Continue with TCAAP and Round Lake plans <br />• <br />
